CA Disclosure
California Transparency in Supply Chains Act
Barn Bluff Work Leather LLC sells footwear in California and provides this disclosure under Civil Code section 1714.43.
Verification
We review footwear and garment makers, including new factories, for social-compliance risk. Reviews are done by our team and by independent inspectors. Contract factories agree to a written code of business practices.
Auditing
Factories are inspected before first production and on a repeating cycle. Audits may be announced or unannounced. We may also visit a plant ourselves. Formal inspections today are typically scheduled in advance.
Certification
We do not currently require every direct supplier to certify that every input material is free of human trafficking. We do require factories to follow the code and to correct findings from an audit.
Internal accountability
Employees who manage sourcing are expected to escalate code violations. A factory that refuses to correct a serious finding can lose production.
Training
Sourcing and compliance staff receive training on the code, audit follow-up, and how to spot trafficking indicators in a factory visit.
This disclosure describes our current program. It is not a guarantee covering every subcontractor in a long chain.
